Through my years of blogging, I have learned that, although you may have a good idea, it is nothing without a photo. People like photos, I like photos. But whenever its time to add a photo to my blog, I can never find what I am looking for, in my own personal gallery. Not to mention, the quality of the photos in my gallery, are not the best. Now what?
Well, then I decide to search the internet. But I began to wonder, while scrolling through online images, is it right to screen shot other peoples photos and use them however? Can I just download the images I see on Google? Isn’t that what the web is all about, free content? If its out there, its for the taking, right? Well, apparently not, there are copyright restrictions, that can apply to many of the photos found online. So it is always a good idea, to use your own photos or find low price or free stock photo websites. Below is a list of websites that offer free stock photos.
- Styled Stock (Feminine Photography)
- New Old Stock (Vintage Photos)
- Little Visuals
- Jay Mantri
- Life of Pix
- FoodiesFeed (Food Photography)
- Free Food Photos
- ISO Republic
- Barn Images
- Negative Space
- Kaboom Pics
- Libreshot (Fine Art Photograpy)
- Start Up Stock Photos

- Burst (by Shopify)
This is in no way, a complete list of all the websites offering free stock photos, however, its definitely plenty to choose from. Always do your own research, to make sure there are no attribution requirements, for the photos you choose to use. Most photos however, do fall under the, Creative Commons Zero, Public Domain and can be copied, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial, without needing permission.
Are there any stock photo websites, that you enjoy using?
